ARTIST BIO

Vanessa joined the EC in 2021 after a brief departure to join her family on their trips to Mexico. Vanessa is a writer, before joining the EC, Vanessa spent her time writing in her notebooks, she’d write the names of artists she liked, birthdays, names and more. Vanessa brought this love for writing to her artwork when joining the EC.

ARTIST STATEMENT

Vanessa’s current work ties her love of words and writing to canvases she paints or ceramics. Vanessa also carries a birthday cake motif in a lot of her work. Vanessa works from home, coloring, writing and socializing with friends at the EC via ZOOM.
