ART STUDIO is the foundation of any artists work. During Art Studio the EC Artists are planning and working on their own works, with support from Visual Arts Instructors.

The Art Studio is equipped with mediums used regularly by the EC Artists; acrylics, watercolors, color pencils, markers, oil pastels and clay.

DIGITAL ARTS STUDIO/WORKSHOP The Digital Arts Contracted Teaching Artist provides mentoring in the world of Art and Technology, using part instruction and part studio practice.

EC Artists signing-up for Digital Art are not required to have a tablet, the EC has tablets available for making digital art in the studio.

CERAMIC ARTS STUDIO/WORKSHOP Ceramic Arts Instructor provides instruction in foundations of clay hand-building techniques, the process of converting raw clay into ceramics via kiln firing, glazing, and elements of art history related to the lesson.  The Clay/Ceramic Arts Teacher supports EC artists working in clay (and other visual arts) during Ceramic Arts Workshops and on Fridays during Art Studio.

VISUAL ARTS WORKSHOPS vary through out the year. Each workshop runs 13-weeks and instructed by EC Visual Arts Instructors/Interns. The workshops provide instruction in new concepts, media, and methods in 2D + 3D visual arts.

Workshops focus on demonstration and work time in a specific form of art. Previous workshops have included; Embroidery, Drawing Portraits, Beading and Printmaking.
